Interchange presents work by three artists who explore the interface between image, pattern and textile processes.
Erin McQuarrie is an artist and researcher based in the Scottish Highlands. She believes ancient methods of making provide an innovative means of interpreting and responding to contemporary life and through textiles reacts to the everyday.
Heather Shields is a weaver and textile designer based in Gourock, specialising in contemporary textiles characterised by clean linear forms, an intuitive approach to colour and a strong graphic edge.
Suzie Cichy is a printmaker and illustrator working between Glasgow and London. Her work spans drawing, ceramics, and printmaking; focusing on themes of still life through creating ceramic forms that inspire her screen prints on textiles.
