Champlevé Enamelling

This special 1-day course focuses on the fabulous technique of champlevé – a wonderful process which combines colourful enamel with exposed metal work. This course focuses on the casting method, so each participant will receive a set of copper castings which will act as their champlevé bases. These castings have been created especially for use with champlevé to experience each stage of the technique, including wet packing the cells, firing, grinding and kiln-polishing to create the final design. After the class, the finished champlevé enamel pieces can be made into wonderful pendants.
