According to The Times and Heritage Crafts there are fewer than a dozen craftspeople still able to make the sgian-dubh in the traditional manner, including Inverness-based, Alan Baillie. His exhibition opens to the public on Friday 7th March at 5:30 and Alan will be giving a talk on his craft at the Castle Gallery on Friday 14th March at 2:00pm. Everyone is welcome to both events.
