The Marchmont Workshop, based in the Scottish Borders, is home to award winning furniture makers Sam Cooper and Richard Platt. Specialising in rush seated chairs and dining room furniture, we offer a wide range of traditional and more contemporary designs, as well as offering bespoke commissions.
Using locally and sustainably sourced materials, including Ash from the woodlands around our workshop and Rush from rivers across Britain. Each piece is handcrafted using a variety of techniques including turning, steam bending and mortise and tenon joinery.
