Invisible Fish

This mobile was an exploration of the idea of suggested rather than defined shapes, partly inspired by Escher and taking things on from the earlier Pied Beauty mobile. The birds are made with Sycamore or Mahogany bodies and wings made up of Tineo, Ovangkoi, Red Gum and Mahogany. Each bird has a (limited) ability to flap its wings but the piece also moves as a whole, undulating as a fish.
