Bruno Rondinelli
I graduated with my BDes in Illustration at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in 2018, having dedicated a significant period of my time to practising various ceramic techniques over the four years. In 2017 I spent four months in Wroclaw in, Poland, at the Eugeniuzs Geppert Academy of Art and Design on the Erasmus exchange programme, where I studied functional ceramics. This experience introduced me to slip casting, which has become my primary method of producing work. In 2020 I received a scholarship to attend the Royal College of Art to study for my MA in Ceramics and Glass. This period of time allowed me to explore ceramic materials and further my understanding of the craft. I find that my background in illustration informs how I approach clay, and I studied this further during the two years. I view the works I make to be almost like collages in three dimensions, bringing pieces together to create dynamics between the different objects to tell a story.I am currently participating in Craft Scotlands Compass Emerging Makers programme for 2022.
