'Radiators and Balustrades' - Lead the Way Series

These three pieces were created for my MA project. Each form is created on the lathe and then slip cast using an earthenware slip.

Lead the Way

This pair is made for porcelain, using the slip casting process and finished with a crater glaze.

Objects I Learn With

This selection of pieces is from the Objects I Learn With project. They are produced using porcelain slip, earthenware slip and glaze. All were produced using slip casting.

The Curtains Series

The curatins series is all about flow and movement. The porcelain pieces were produced using slip casting and fired in particular positions that allow the porcelain to move int he kiln. This movement is captured in the final pieces and give the impression of the pieces moving in the breeze. The

Flow Vessel

This piece is made using porcelain and the slip-casting process.

Kerr Curtains

The Kerr curtains are inspired by my Gran's curtains. She was a Kerr, and the tartan we wear as a family is the Kerr hunting tartan. The surface is an abstract interpretation of that tartan. It was applied using a mono-printing technique in a large press mould.

My final collection for the Lead the Way series. All are produced using slip casting and varies glaze finishes.
