Guardian at the gates of dawn

The sight of geese are a herald of the changing seasons. I often mistake their sound for human voices and look wildly around to find where these people are (I’m often on lonely hill tracks, which makes it extremely disconcerting) only to look up and laugh at my stupidity!

Highland ponies were once a common sight in the North, shrouded in Celtic mysticism. They were also the main means to transport people and goods across the mountains. Now they are mainly used to bring home the fallen stag or in trekking stables for tourist experiences.

The night garden, a place to dream and to heal. The secret power plants and flowers contain never ceases to amaze me. Their incredible ability to adapt and survive in the most unlikely of places.
