Applique Ribbed Jug and Dreaming of Spring Charger

Tall tapered jug with applique rib decoration, yellow with manganese speckles. The decoration takes it's inspiration from the towering, straight, trunks of spruce trees in the forests by our home.<br>Dreaming of Spring Charger. This decoration on this piece came from a time, a couple of months after the death of my mum when I was looking out of the workshop window into the bare woods beside us, all sharp lines and no softness and dreaming of a much needed spring with the bursting buds and fresh leaves.

Large Applique Jar

A large jar, thrown on the wheel, decorated with applique ribs and modelled sprigs. The whole piece is finished in yellow with mottling and green glaze highlights on the sprigs.

Large Flower Basket

A large oval, thrown and altered, flower basket with a pulled handle. The piece is decorated with slip trailed stylised sunflowers.

Applique Baluster Jug, green

A tall, slender baluster jug, thrown in two sections and decorated with a notched applique pattern reminiscent of arched church windows each complete with an embossed sprig. Finished in a rich green glaze with highlighted sprigs.

Abundance Tyg

An overly large, celebratory, two handled drinking vessel or tyg, decorated with exuberant slip trailed flowers and foliage across it's surface.
