Open call for self-directed residencies at Sweeney’s Bothy on the Isle of Eigg.

Bothy Project is delighted to announce its latest open call for Self-Directed Residencies. These solo residencies will take place throughout April 2025 – March 2026 at Sweeney’s Bothy, a simple off-grid building in unique surroundings on the Isle of Eigg, on Scotland’s west coast.
Self-Directed Residencies last one week (seven nights) and are a self-funded route for practitioners in visual art, craft & design, music, literature, performance and those working across disciplines or in collaboration. Applications are welcome from practitioners who are able to demonstrate at least three years of active practice, and are based in the UK and Europe.
Our Self-Directed Residencies support interesting, ambitious and challenging practices, and provide space and time for practitioners to focus without distraction in a unique landscape and off-grid space. It is not necessary for your work to engage with the residency location.
