The Central Scotland School of Craft, located in the picturesque city of Dunblane, serves as a hub for creative learning. It offers artisan classes ranging from one-day workshops to week-long courses, catering to everyone from complete beginners to established professional makers. Renowned craftspeople from across the country are engaged to deliver a diverse array of craft classes, emphasizing heritage and endangered crafts as well as skilled hand-making techniques.
The school’s programme of artisan craft workshops is continually growing, as is its network of talented tutors. It is actively seeking potential future instructors who meet the following criteria:
- Professional makers who are highly skilled in their craft field. Formal training is not a requirement, but expertise and experience in their discipline are essential.
- Experienced tutors with a proven track record of teaching craft skills.
- Friendly and enthusiastic educators eager to share their knowledge with learners of all abilities.
Proposals are currently being accepted for single or multi-day workshops, masterclasses, and weekly classes to fit into the school’s year-round schedule. Prospective tutors are encouraged to review the current lineup of classes to understand the types of offerings already available.
Situated on Dunblane High Street, the bright and spacious studio provides an ideal environment for the creative community to come together and learn. Dunblane’s central location makes it easily accessible from across Scotland by road or public transport.
