Professional Development

M:ADE for Early Career Creatives

M:ADE, supported by Creative Scotland’s Open Fund, will deliver a development programme for early career creatives in Moray.

Closing date: 2 Oct 2024

M:ADE for Early Career Creatives aims to support those that are working to establish a professional livelihood in the creative and cultural sector. You may have recently graduated from a creative degree and/or decided to transfer an artistic skillset into a professional context; MADE are seeking up to five individuals that would identify with being ‘early career creatives’ to take supported next steps in their professional development. From November 2024-August 2025, M:ADE for Early Career Creatives will provide the opportunity for one-to-one mentoring, tailored industry-specific workshops and being part of a peer-support network.

This will include:
- One group residential
- Four workshops in total, three to be shaped by the group
- A modest personal budget to support own professional development (mentoring, equipment, research visits – we will tailor this together)
M:ADE invites expressions of interest from those that:
- Have graduated and/or established first steps in building a creative career i.e. within the last 5 years, between 2020 and 2024
- Are based and/or working in the region of Moray
- Are actively engaged with their creative practice (we are open to all creative disciplines)
- Are open to collaborative working and sharing
- Are available Friday 15th November 2024

if interested, please email stacey@morayartsdevelopmentengagement.org by 12pm on Wednesday 2nd October 2024, outlining the following:
- A statement/summary about you and your practice
- An overview of why you feel this opportunity will enhance your progression, to include how it may impact your personal and/or professional development
- Up to 3 examples of your work (no set expectation - this can be film, sound, visual images etc)

Written or filmed responses to the above are accepted; if neither work, please get in touch to discuss.
Submissions will be considered by members of the M:ADE Board and applicants will be notified by Wednesday 9th October.
