Call out for Artists and Makers with connections to west coast fishing communities.
Closing date: 13 Mar 2025
Artists and makers with connections to west coast fishing communities, Kintyre, or maritime themes are invited to take part in a new large-scale festival at the Barras Market.
The Clyde Fishermen's Trust has announced a partnership with the Barras Market to host the Festival of the Sea on March 29-30, 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm daily.
This vibrant weekend celebration will showcase the finest seafood from Scotland's west coast alongside live music, cooking demonstrations, children's activities, and a curated selection of regional crafts. The festival represents an exciting collaboration supported by the Regional Food Fund and Seafood Scotland, bringing coastal culture to the heart of Glasgow.
The organisers are seeking artists, makers, and designers with connections to west coast fishing communities, Kintyre, or maritime themes to join the festival marketplace. This event presents a valuable opportunity to showcase and sell creative work to a diverse audience in a historic Glasgow venue.
Affordable table space is available for £20 for the full weekend, with no commission on sales. Those interested in participating are encouraged to email contact@clydefishermenstrust.com by 5 pm on March 13, 2025, with a brief description of the items they wish to sell at the festival. Any inquiries can be directed to the same email address.
