Weaving Workshop with Jan Bowman

Working on four shaft table looms which have fine cotton warps on, you will explore basic weave structures and experiment with using texture and colour to full effect. Having access to a fabulous range of weft yarns and alternative materials, you will create a small art piece ready for you to frame at home. The focus is on having fun and catching a glimpse of the amazing possibilities weaving offers.
Jan taught on the Textile Innovation and Design Course at Loughborough Universities School of Art for many years and loves to share her skill base with new students.
Classes run 10.00am to 4.00pm. Fee £95. Maximum six students per day.
Refreshment provided throughout the day, please bring your lunch.
Venue: Jan’s studio in the village of Coldingham, Scottish Borders.
