The Great Scottish Craft Hoolie is a small but perfectly formed celebration of traditional and heritage crafts, featuring some of the best makers and trainers across the UK, taking place over 10 days in August in rural Stirlingshire. The event starts with a weekend focused on wood crafts - carving, turning, and whittling using traditional tools and techniques. On the second weekend, we're broadening the scope to include a more diverse range of skills - basketweaving, blacksmithing, handweaving, jewellery, pottery, and printmaking. In the week in between, our guest trainers will be offering more in-depth workshops, enabling participants to get more detailed tuition. All workshops will take place on our site in Stirlingshire, in a woodland setting. Participants can choose to come for a day, a weekend, or the whole thing!
