Rachel will cover hand-painting with various brushes, screen-printing with different imagery, as well as other mark making. You’ll have the opportunity to make a few different sample pieces or, if you prefer, focus on finishing one piece. Rachel will also cover how enamels can be used in conjunction with other kiln-forming techniques, how they are fired and any other technical troubleshooting that is of interest, including how to use them in different projects.
This experience is suitable for all levels of experience and confidence in making. Pre-cast shapes and pieces of glass will be available to apply enamel onto, to allow you to focus on that. All tools and materials are provided, although you are welcome to bring your own things if you would like to know if they are suitable.
All your pieces will be fired and posted back out to you. Postage is included in the workshop fee.
