Ash Rise Exhibition Opens in Inverness

The Ash Rise Exhibition concludes its national tour at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery from 29 March to 17 May 2025.

This exhibition showcases work by 20 Scottish artists and makers, addressing the environmental and cultural impact of ash dieback disease on Scotland’s native ash trees. The collection includes furniture, sculpture, and craft pieces created from ash wood sourced from trees felled due to the disease. The exhibition aims to highlight the ecological significance of the ash tree and the challenges posed by ash dieback.​

The Ash Rise Exhibition is organised by the Scottish Furniture Makers Association in partnership with Scottish Forestry and the Association of Scottish Hardwood Sawmillers. ​
