In this lively Aluminium Jewellery weekend workshop you will learn how to create a variety of stunning effects for contemporary jewellery using aluminium, a fascinating and diverse material that is lightweight and will keep its bright colours over time.

You will explore the endless possibilities of pattern and colour using stamping, image transfer, dip dyeing and forming techniques. Students will use pre-anodised sheets to create lots of colourful samples ready to turn into a cuff and earrings. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners.  For those with some aluminium experience who wish to experiment further, CSSJ have an Intermediate Aluminium course coming up at the end of November.

Your Tutor: Trisha Smith started her jewellery journey here with CSSJ as a student many years ago when the school was first founded and has been a regular fixture ever since. Through a combination of weekly classes and masterclasses, Trisha has built both her technical skills and her distinctive voice in her jewellery collections as White Loch Jewellery. Trisha has been down to London to train with the well-known aluminium jewellery Lindsey Mann and is now CSSJ’s expert in all things bright and light!
