Making History

Making History is a project that is part of an ongoing collaboration between Craft Scotland and Historic Environment Scotland (HES), bringing together makers and community groups to respond creatively to historic buildings and archives across Scotland. Working across three locations in Scotland - Stirling Castle, Brechin Round Tower in Angus, and Trinity House in Leith, Edinburgh - HES and Craft Scotland collaborated on three projects in 2023. These projects involved local community groups working alongside makers, Charlott Rodgers, Jennifer Alford, and Kjersti Sletteland, to create objects inspired by the physical structure, history, culture, and stories of these historical buildings.
