Workshops
I offer classes that specialise in ethical practice. Suitable for all levels, from beginners to professionals that want to try out a new technique. All classes will use recycled or fair trade metals, (for some you can even bring your own jewellery to recycle!) and will cover ethical jewellery practice. Classes will be small and include copper electroforming, cuttlefish casting, sandcasting, ring making, chain making and for those ethical jewellers that want to push themselves a little further – make your own findings! I also offer private tuition if someone has a specific project they would like to realise.
Lecturing & Talks
I have extensive experience in teaching, having worked as a returning visiting lecturer at Glasgow School of Art. Other posts include tutor for local authorities throughout Scotland, within schools, museums, galleries and art organisations UK wide.
Curating
I deliver projects and exhibitions collaboratively with arts organisations and other educational facilities. Inspiring and empowering people through making, and encouraging sustainability within the practice of Art Jewellery. Projects I have initiated include O-PIN and Exchangeworks?. I hold a part time post as Craft Development officer at Fife Contemporary and have recently become appointed as a board member of Applied Arts Scotland.
