Olive Pearson Designs

Olive is the designer and maker behind the brand Olive Pearson Designs. Her practice thrives on her exploration of pattern through colour and colour through pattern. The current focus is her award winning hand-framed knitted textile designs. A lover of geometry, repetition and pattern since her childhood fascination with spirograph, her signature patterns combine traditional craft techniques with contemporary design. Her fashion and interiors accessories are luxurious, slow-fashion, heirloom pieces. She designs new patterns for her merino lambswool collections each year, in beautiful colour combinations that sit alongside her timeless limited edition cashmere collections.

Because everything is hand-crafted by Olive in her Glasgow studio, current and archive designs can be made to order in each customer's choice of colours and sizes to create bespoke scarves unique to the wearer, making ideal individual gifts.

Passionate about zero-waste, damaged merino lambswool OPD knitwear can be returned to Olive for repair or recycling. There is no fabric waste in her process as everything is fully-fashioned (shaped) but all short lengths of yarn are re purposed.

Collaborations and commissions include bespoke Morse Code designs, Outlander TV Series, The British Golf Museum, the National Library of Scotland, Iona craft Shop, Hebridean Journey.
