The sophisticated, exclusive and luxurious textiles that Janis produces form a range of high-quality, hand-woven items, which combine traditional skills and techniques with contemporary designs.
Produced in small runs and one-off designs, the emphasis of Janis's work is attention to detail, high quality materials and an aim to create fabric that is both distinctive and unique. The range of products includes fashion accessories for both men and women; interior textiles such as cushions and throws; and artworks, both framed and free hanging. These highly individual pieces are available through local galleries, public events and through my website.
Janis's bespoke service is an area that she finds both fulfilling and hugely interesting, requiring extensive research and a close association with the client, to create a truly original and unique piece of weaving.
As well as having a passion for the weaving process, Janis enjoys passing on skills, regularly hosting workshops for both groups and individuals.
