Silversmithing

These pieces were made for Collect 2018 to exhibit with Craft Scotland. Using computer aided design to design the faceted surface the silver bowls were press formed into CNC milled moulds. The same file was used to cut the faceted wooden bowl for the silver to sit in.

This small bowl is designed using computer aided design and 3D printed in wax and cast in silver. The texture and lines of printing are kept in the finished piece to show the process. It was first made for my graduation show at the Royal college of Art in 2010.

This faceted vase is inspired by geometric design and pattern. Hand made in sterling silver using the traditional silversmithing technique of scoring and folding metal.
