Fiona Hutchison is an internationally known tapestry and textile artist who designs and weaves large wall hangings for exhibition and to commission. With over 30 years of creative experience, Fiona uses the traditional Gobelin technique of tapestry weaving to create work for private homes, business boardrooms or public space as well as exhibiting throughout the UK, Europe, America the nd Far East.

A recipient of many awards Fiona is an ambassador for Scottish Tapestry. Travelling widely with here work she has participated in many international exhibitions, symposiums and residences.

Whether a small intimate weaving or architectural commission, Fiona delights in exploring surface and structure of woven tapestry and the emotional qualities evoked by colour.

Teaching is an important part of Fiona practice, whether running studio workshops for beginners, University courses or master classes, sharing her skills is all part of her creative practice.
