Still Life

Still life is a compositional piece made out of a bottle, angled bowl and a small pourer. All pieces are made with my grey stoneware and glazed with my crystalline matte glaze recipes. Still lifes have been a source of inspiration for me not only throughout my career as a potter but also in my younger years when I used to paint.

For Morandi

Morandi being one of my favourite artists, his obsession with bottles has been translated in this installation into a three dimensional piece. The soft tone colour palette of my work has always been influenced by Morandi's paintings as well.
