Project Residency

Clay Shed offers a residency for ceramicists, potters, and artists to develop their work in a dedicated studio with professional support.

Closing date: 27 Aug 2025

Clay Shed’s project residency provides professional development opportunities for ceramicists, potters, and artists seeking to undertake a short-term project in a dedicated studio space.

Residents will have the opportunity to research, experiment, and create new work within a well-resourced, professional, and supportive studio environment. Projects can last between one and three months.

The residency includes a dedicated tutorial session for each month of the project with an experienced member of the team. These sessions are designed to help residents refine their ideas, engage in critical discussions, and develop their work. Ongoing technical support and contextual guidance will also be provided throughout the residency, along with a kiln firing allowance.

Applicants should have experience working with clay and be capable of operating independently within a ceramics-focused environment.

Clay Shed looks forward to discussing the content and duration of each applicant’s proposed project.
