The Incorporation of Weavers Annual Industry and Education Awards. This year's student award is open to any textile medium.
Closing date: 11 Apr 2025
This year for the Incorporation of Weavers Annual Industry and Education Awards there will be three award categories :
1. Best new Woven Fabric or Product.
2. Material Innovation Award.
3. Colour in Textile Award (Students only award)
This year submissions will be entirely digital with a cost of entry for each category at £12, payable via our website.
1. Best new woven Fabric or product 2025
Submissions are judged on design, technical ability and understanding of colour.
Work must be available for exhibition at the Weavers Box Opening (15/05/2025)
A graphic will be supplied for use on social media, to promote the design or product.
Prize: £500, and Certificate of Merit.
Other additional prizes may be awarded at judges discretion
2. Material Innovation
Submissions are welcomed from anyone working in material innovation . This includes but is not limited to makers and designers working in: new processes, fibre development, UX design, digital fabrication and media.
Where possible the work should be made available for exhibition at the Weavers Box Opening (15/05/2025)
Prize: £500, and Certificate of Merit.
Other additional prizes may be awarded at judges discretion
3. Colour in Textile Award (Students only award)
Submissions are welcomed from undergraduate and postgraduate students studying textile Design (Any Process).
Entries will be judged on their use of Colour with special attention paid to any designs showing a novel approach to integrating colour with both design and technical Skill.
Where possible the work should be made available for exhibition at the Weavers Box Opening (15/05/2025)
Prize: £500, and Certificate of Merit.
Other additional prizes may be awarded at judges discretion
