The Hugo Burge Foundation is offering an experienced silversmith a fully-funded silversmithing residency for the month of January.

The Hugo Burge Foundation is looking for an experienced silversmith (8+ years experience/postgraduation) to join them in the month of January for a fully-funded silversmithing residency.
Applicants will be given access to the workshop with their own bench, accommodation onsite, and a weekly stipend of £350. This residency will also include an option to provide up to four days of teaching with the current silversmith tenants. The teaching will be paid at the usual artist day rate of £279.
During their residency, the visiting resident will also be joining the community of emerging silversmiths who are supported by The Marchmont Silversmithing workshop as well as other makers and creators on-site.
The residency will take place from Monday 6 January 2025 to Wednesday 29 January 2025.
Useful Info:
Marchmont Estate is situated in a rural area with very little public transport. A car is recommended during your stay but is not essential.
All bed linens and towels are provided
Accommodation is fully self catering.
Groceries can be delivered to the Estate by supermarkets in Berwick Upon Tweed
