Painting Enamels & Lustres

Over this 2-day course, you will be introduced to the beautiful technique of painting on enamel, as well as how to incorporate lustres into your designs.
Painting on enamel involves mixing powdered glass with a binder, or medium, to create a liquid paint that can then be applied to a pre-enamelled surface. Lustres can then be added as a final surface decoration to give a metallic shimmer.
This 2-day course allows you to get to grips with the process, and to experiment with how the techniques work. By the end of the course, you’ll leave with an understanding of how to use painting enamels and lustres, as well as a series of samples and test pieces that you could develop into final designs.
