Join CCSC for a meditative day making needle felted succulents. You'll be exploring the forms and textures of aloes and agave’s, sedums and sempervivums, to create beautiful succulent sculptures. You’ll learn how to build a sculpted three dimensional form in wool, work around a wire armature and add texture and detail to your work.

Felting is the oldest textile construction method in human history, and has been used for home building, clothing, homeware, and sculpture for thousands of years throughout the world. In this workshop we will explore the three dimensional possibilities of needle felted wool, beginning with simple leaf forms and progressing to more complex structures and embellishments to make a unique succulent sculpture.

No previous textile or felting experience is necessary and all equipment and materials are provided.

Throughout the workshop you will be using ethically sourced sheeps’ wool.
