New year makeover for craftscotland.org

New year makeover for craftscotland.org
09 February 2010

Regular visitors to the site will no doubt have noticed that craftscotland.org has had a change of costume for the new year.

Since 2008, craftscotland has developed as an organisation, and we wanted the website to both reflect those changes and to show the energy and ambition we have as a team.

By using sharp and vibrant colour schemes, stunning images of Scottish craft on each page, links to social networks and new site 'sections,' we hope that you will agree that the makeover has energised the site.

We aim to make many more changes to the website over the coming year, and soon I’ll put a call out to you, our visitors, to help feed into these changes.

The new banners in place at the top of each page show images of contemporary Scottish craft.

At the moment, these are:
- Homepage/Sector Support/Jobs: ‘Squared Routes’ by Libby Day
- Explore Craft/Directories/What’s On/News: ‘A Wee Bit of Light Relief’ by Julia Douglas, Clare Waddle and Rebecca Wilson
- About us: Ceramic Bowl by Lara Scobie
- The homepage also displays ‘A Wee Bit of Light Relief’ by Julia Douglas, Clare Waddle and Rebecca Wilson, and a lamp by Joachim King.

These banners will be refreshed with different craft images throughout the year.

If you have any questions about the new site design, or want to let me know what you think, please email me at updates@craftscotland.org or use our Feedback Form.
